Stopwatch

Measure elapsed time and compare laps

Read total time and lap time correctly

Press Start as the activity begins. Use Lap to mark a checkpoint without stopping the clock, and Pause when you want to stop adding time. Resume continues the same measurement; Reset clears it for another attempt. Save any results you need before resetting.

A cumulative reading includes every lap since the start. If the first lap is recorded at 00:30.00 and the next at 01:05.00, the second segment took 00:35.00. Compare segment durations when judging individual laps, and the cumulative reading when checking the whole activity.

Keep results for a lesson or practice session

Copy or Share sends a readable result. CSV downloads a file with record, total_ms and segment_ms columns, so you can compare laps in a spreadsheet; the numeric durations are milliseconds. The elapsed row records the overall measurement, while lap rows also include a segment duration.

The classic stopwatch restores its saved measurement after navigation or refresh in the same browser. Clearing site data can remove it. Displayed hundredths do not turn a phone or browser into calibrated race equipment: tapping delay, screen updates and device scheduling affect what you see. For several people with one start and separate finishes, choose Multi-Stopwatch.
