Time Zone Converter

Convert a time for the date you actually need

Choose the source city under Time in, then enter the date and local time in that city. This field belongs to the source time zone, even if your phone is somewhere else. Select your destination cities under Convert to; you can compare up to four destinations at once.

For example, to arrange a call from Karachi to London and New York, select Asia/Karachi as the source and add Europe/London and America/New_York as destinations. Set the call’s date before reading the results. Copy or share the conversion so everyone receives the local date as well as the time.

Why the date and daylight saving matter

A time difference is not always the same throughout the year. Cities can change their clocks on different dates, or keep the same offset all year. Use a city time zone instead of assuming an abbreviation such as EST describes every date.

At a daylight-saving change, a local time can occur twice or be skipped. When the selected time occurs twice, choose the first or second occurrence in the converter. A skipped time has no matching instant; choose a valid local time instead. Previous-day and next-day labels show when a destination crosses midnight.

Choose the right tool for your next step

Use the World Clock for current city times. To find a time inside everyone’s working hours and create a calendar invite, use the international Meeting Planner. The converter uses your browser’s time-zone rules; keep your browser updated when local rules change.
