Age Calculator

Choose a valid birth date that is not after the “Age on” date.

Calculate age on the date you choose

Separate calendar age from total days

Enter the birth date, then check the date on which the age should be calculated. Use today for a current age or another date to answer a question about a past or future occasion. For example, someone born on 15 June 2000 is 25 on 14 June 2026 and turns 26 the following day.

Years, months and days describe a calendar interval. Total days and weeks express that span in different units; they are not calculated by treating every month as thirty days or every year as 365 days. Month lengths and leap years affect the result.

Use the result in context

Check that day and month have not been swapped when entering a date. The calculation runs in your browser, and the tool does not upload your birth-date input to an OxClock account.

An age calculation is not a ruling on school admission, eligibility or a legal deadline. Organisations can apply their own cutoff dates and leap-day birthday rules; use their stated rules when those distinctions matter. For the interval between two dates that are not a birth date and a reference date, use Date Calculator.
